As the independent trade union for pre-registration pharmacists, the PDA will be representing the interests of the class of 2020 following a decision by the GPhC Council on Thursday to enable the provisional registration of “newly qualified” pharmacists from 1 July (Prov-Regs)

PDA sponsors wellbeing campaign encouraging pharmacists to “ACTNow”

The ACTNow campaign will run until the end of August and hopes to support those working and studying in the pharmacy profession to prioritise their own mental health and wellbeing, and to check in on their colleagues.

PDA Union secures sick pay victory for Boots members transferring to Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (RM Medicines)

The PDA Union has been representing members whose employment is transferring from Boots to a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

PDA welcome GPhC statement on zero tolerance of violence.

The PDA welcome a formal statement from the pharmacy regulator on zero tolerance of violence, which comes after the PDA called on the whole sector to work together with the union to end violence in pharmacies. The PDA is now asking the GPhC to follow up on it's commitment to zero tolerance with the application of regulatory standards.

Community Pharmacy Trade Unions call on government to facilitate talks on workplace safety

With increasing strains on PPE supplies and especially after the Prime Ministers announcement of changes to the lockdown rules in England, urgent discussions are needed to consider in much more detail the question of how the safety of staff working in community pharmacies can be maintained.

PDA calls for next steps to end violence in pharmacies after community pharmacy sector adopts zero tolerance approach

The community pharmacy sector has moved to a united position on zero tolerance of violence. The PDA welcome this development and is now calling on the whole sector to work together with the union to deliver the next steps in the process to end violence.
