The UK government have reversed their decision to exclude community pharmacists from the coronavirus compensation scheme in England. The PDA has welcomed the u-turn by the Secretary of State Matt Hancock and praised pharmacists for their professional unity

PDA’s campaign to stop violence in pharmacies now has support from the National Police Chiefs’ Council

The PDA's campaign to stop violence in pharmacies has received additional support from the NPCC (National Police Chiefs' Council). The campaign posters, which can be downloaded and placed in pharmacies, now include the NPCC logo.

Boots unfairly dismisses and discriminates against disabled pharmacy technician

A Boots pharmacy technician with 34 years’ service, who worked in a failing Holyhead pharmacy, was constructively dismissed after suffering discrimination from her line manager, following the premature implementation of a Performance Improvement Process (PIP).

“Remember the Dead” and “Fight for the Living”

At the start of a day of memorial, the PDA has laid a wreath on behalf of all our members in tribute to the pharmacists and other key workers that have been killed by the COVID virus. The whole pharmacy sector is also invited to join a one minute silence at 11:00am today.

Police and Crime Commissioners support PDA’s campaign to stop violence in pharmacies
