Boots ballot update: Pharmacists and trainee pharmacists (called pre-reg until end of summer 2021) should check they are receiving ballot materials

The ballot period at Boots starts on Monday 4 February, so it's important eligible voters check they are already receiving publications sent to their home address as this will be the address to which the ballot paper will be sent on Monday 18 February. If they are not receiving them, they need to take action to ensure they receive the actual ballot paper

Official notice of Boots ballot issued by the CAC

The Central Arbitration Committee have issued the official notice of the Boots ballot. This legal notice must be displayed in all workplaces where eligible voters are based and includes instructions on what to do if you do not receive ballot papers.

Boots Ballot Update: Ballot papers to be released on 18th February

After Boots refused to support our application that ballot papers be issued as soon as possible, we have heard from the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) that they have decided that the ballot papers will be released on the 11th working day of the ballot period, which is Monday 18th February.

PDA Union Statement: Boots’ management oppose early release of ballot papers

Boots have previously indicated that they also want to see maximum voter participation so we have asked Boots to support an application to ensure ballot papers are issued as soon as possible, however in their response the company have said they will not, and are opposing early release of the voting papers.

Boots Pharmacists’ legal battle to secure an independent voice at work in order to improve their working conditions will shortly reach its eighth anniversary. This means that it is likely that many of the pre-registration and newly qualified pharmacists now employed by the retailer had not finished secondary school when the action began.
