The GPhC and the PSNI have committed to implementing learnings from the problematic Summer 2022 assessment which was run by the new online provider (BTL Group LTD). Many candidates will be planning to sit and some of the trainees who are eligible from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, may require a reasonable adjustment in November 2022.

The PDA has relaunched its Provisional Registration Charter to support those that are eligible. This is following the GPhC's decision to offer provisional registration as part of their actions to address the issues which happened during the June 2022 assessment sitting.

Appeals process for candidates that sat the registration assessment in June 2022

NHS pay award England, Wales, and Northern Ireland fails to address the cost of living crisis

For pharmacists, the NHS pay award falls below even the headline increase of 4.5%. Paul Moloney, PDA Union National Officer looks at the pay award announced on 18 July which applies to PDA members working in the NHS in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The Scottish government had previously announced a proposed 5% increase in Scotland.

The PDA sign the Disability Employment Charter

The PDA have joined over with 100 organisations including charities, trade unions and others to sign the Disability Employment Charter, a document that provides government with a road map for change as it develops the next phases of its National Disability Strategy.

Registration for PDA Education Summer School is now open!

PDA Education has launched a summer school programme which PDA members can now register for. The programme launches with an all-members workshop which then runs over through August and September.
