Earlier this week, the GPhC and it's Northern Ireland Counterpart the PSNI issued a joint statement in which they recognised that there may be situations occurring in the near future where pharmacists may unexpectedly fall ill during a shift and it may not be possible to locate a replacement pharmacist immediately.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – update 2

The PDA is engaging with employers, regulators, government and other pharmacy bodies on a daily basis to represent pharmacists' interests and have issued an update on the action it is taking to support pharmacists during the COVID19 crisis period.

PDA cancels its forthcoming conferences due to COVID 19
Fri 13th March 2020
The PDA have announced today that it will be cancelling four events due to the situation with the coronavirus. The cancelled events are the PDA National Conference which was scheduled on 28 & 29 March in Birmingham and the programme of pre-registration trainee “Finishing First” courses due in Birmingham on 28 & 29 March, Manchester on 19 April and London on 26 April.
