COVID-19 risk management tool for pharmacists and for pharmacies

COVID risk assessments are needed more than ever for all staff, and with an added focus on those at higher risk, such as BAME pharmacists. The PDA want to help protect all pharmacists, their teams and the members of the public that enter the pharmacy from the virus and support the pharmacy from the risk of enforced closure. PDA launch Provisional Registration Charter

The PDA has today launched a Provisional Registration Charter to support those that are eligible for this new role in pharmacy. This is following the GPhC's decision to postpone the 2020 pre-reg assessment and create a new role for pre-regs that will allow them to practice as a responsible pharmacist.

Prov-Reg pharmacist salaries should match “newly qualified” rates

The PDA welcome Boots confirming that Prov-Reg pharmacists will be paid the same starting rate as would have been paid to newly qualified pharmacists, as agreed with the PDA.
