The network of PDAU representatives at Boots is now in place with most representatives trained. The network have already adopted a mantra of resolving workplace issues at the company “Earlier, more locally and together” to make life better for individual pharmacists and for the company.

PDAU donates £1,750 to the National Autistic Society

The PDAU promised to give £1 to charity for each vote cast in the recognition ballot at Boots this year, and as a result a total donation of £3,500 has been split between two charities. The first half of the total amount raised has been donated to the National Autistic Society (NAS).

PDA attends Parliamentary event to support Pharmacist Support well-being in pharmacy campaign

Earlier this month, Pharmacist Support hosted a joint parliamentary event with C+D to raise awareness of the growing pressures on community pharmacists and the impact this is having on Pharmacists’ well-being. The PDA was represented at the Parliamentary event and are proud to support this campaign.

PDAU issues advice to members after Morrisons announce closure of four UK stores, including a pharmacy in Shirley

PDA Union members at Morrisons are understandably concerned about their future after the company announced it would close four stores including one in Shirley in Solihull, which has a pharmacy. The PDA is offering high-level advice immediately and asking members with specific concerns to contact us.
