VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.

    Even though there were only 5 days left on a very short consultation time frame, nearly 6,000 PDA members responded to our encouragement to feed back on the 10 day consultation on an apprenticeship for pharmacist proposal, which was made public by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education (IFATE) earlier this month. This is an update on what will happen next.

    The BEIS consulted on extending redundancy protection for women and new parents from 25 January to 5 April 2019. The PDA supports proposals for greater consistency of redundancy protection across pregnancy, maternity and for a short period following return to work to help tackle redundancy discrimination in the workplace.
